Usain Bolt was born on 21 August 1986 in Sherwood Content, Sherwood Content is a small town in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica.

Usain Bolt Early Life

He was fond of playing since childhood. Bolt used to play cricket and football with his brother in the street. He has told that when I was young, I could not think of anything other than sports. Bolt lives a lot of discipline in his personal life.

Bolt belongs to a simple family. His parents ran the local grocery store in the rural area. Even after facing many difficulties in life, he did not deviate from his goal. He has written in his autobiography that he always wanted to be a player.

He first demonstrated his sprinting potential by running in his school's annual national primary school competition. Bolt became the fastest sprinter in the 100-meter race at the age of 12 at his school level.

Usain Bolt was sent to Waldensia Primary School for education. It was at this school that she showed Usain the possibilities as a runner. Actually, in this school, Usain won the competition by running 100 meters.

After which he was enrolled in William Nibb Memorial High School. Even after graduation, he started playing cricket in school, but his coach saw a runner instead of a cricketer in Usain. Usain later participated in the 200 meters race.

Bolt went on to win a lot of medals in the long jump after Usain continued to outperform his teammates in the early days. In 2002 he participated in the World Junior Championships. Here he made a different identity by winning the gold medal in 200 meters. He became the youngest gold medalist in this competition.

In the 2004 CARIFTA Games, he became the first junior runner to run in the 20 sec category with a time of 19.93 sec. He broke Roy Martin's world junior record in two-tenths of a second.

He became a professional sprinter by 2004 but missed most of the first two seasons due to injuries. But she completed the events of the 2004 Summer Olympics in the Olympics.

In 2007, he defeated the Jamaican national record holder Don Querridge in 200m with a time of 19.75 seconds. 

In May 2008, Bolt set a world record in the 100 events with a time of 9.72 s.

He set world records in both the 100m and 200m events at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. The time in 100 meters was 9.69 and thus he broke his own record by taking 9.72.

In the 200 meters event, he took 19.30 seconds, breaking Michael Johnson's record of 19.32 seconds at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics.

Day and night struggle and hard work, he was going to win the championship continuously and along with the Olympic Games, he also won many local sports. These include mainly Olympic Games victories in Beijing, London and Rio and also the IAAF World T&F Championships in Berlin, Daegu, Moscow and Beijing.

  • 2013 : Bolt completed the 100 meters race in 9.77 seconds and the 200 meters in 19.66 seconds at the World Championships held in Moscow. He won the gold medal in the relay final.
